We were delighted to be invited in to BBC Broadcasting House in Newcastle to chat with Lisa Shaw and record a short interview discussing my condition, the effect on our family, our campaign and our fundraising efforts.
The interview went out at 10:20am today, continued at 10:40am and the clip can be heard for a limited time on the BBC Newcastle webpage here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p07gbcr0 from 20 minutes, and against from 40 minutes in. Once it expires, we've saved the clip here: https://soundcloud.com/newcastledave/radio-newcastle-interview-010819-full along with a lovely message that came in shortly after from listener Pam from Sunderland, here: https://soundcloud.com/newcastledave/bbc-pam-from-sunderland-message.

Journalist Megan Paterson and cameraman Jeff were both lovely and they made us feel very at ease as they guided us through the process, set up shots and delivered interviews. The piece aired that night on the tea time show and if you missed it, you can see it here: BBC Look North clip.
Our friend Barbara Hodgson of the Newcastle Chronicle kindly invited us to follow up our story, here:
