It goes without saying how thrilled, and overwhelmingly grateful we are to everyone who has supported us by raising funds, organising and taking part in fundraising events, and donating so far. We're hoping to reach the £40k mark on the Gofundme page over the weekend, and every donation large or small makes all the difference as we continue on our journey.
Over the past month or so Janine has been busy building a series of events on our Facebook page with lots information on what's going on, how you can join in the fun & help us raise even more both in terms of awareness and funds. Please check out what's going on via the link below to join our group, see what's going on, contribute and see our growing list of upcoming events! https://www.facebook.com/groups/679525032495284/

We're delighted with the progress of the Gofundme campaign, and words cannot express our gratitude to all who have donated, large and small. Every donation makes a difference, and has made a difference so far; the fund has almost reached 50% of target in just over 10 days. For something that started as something of a moonshot, we are now becoming confident we can reach our target and this is solely down to all of you for donating, and my wonderful wife Janine who has worked tirelessly in promoting this fund.
In addition to the fundraising effort, our attentions are also on the wider campaign to help bring about change for all in my situation. We're liaising with Myeloma UK and Janine is meeting with our local MP to see how we can make inroads, with others in my position, to parliament to make the case. Watch this space. My wife has taken it upon herself to set up a programme of fundraising, starting with a simple plea to buy me some time. We hope to raise enough to pay for the first year of Revlimid treatment which could give me double the remission time before relapse.
More detail is in the following link and even the smallest amount would be incredible to contribute towards our goal of raising enough to fund the first year of maintenance treatment. https://www.gofundme.com/please-help-buy-time-for-dave
On Sunday May 19th, my friend, everyone's favourite North East football journalist, and serial patron of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, George Caulkin ran the Great Manchester Half Marathon.
Learning of my condition he so kindly thought of me along the way and crossed the line in a fantastic time of 1 hr 41! Well done mate and Thank You! He also bumped into his pal, the one and only Brendan Foster who was so kind to record this message of support! Incredible!
My father, Keith Jameson & step mum, Caroline Jameson are walking from Bowness on Solway to Wallsend on June 7th to raise money for Myeloma UK. Click here to view the JustGiving page and support this tremendous effort:
